2020 Bangkok Land of Smiles Tournament

(October 23-26, 2020)

Four Selects teams entered the Bangkok Land of Smiles Youth Ice Hockey Tournament by the end of October.  Our U8, U10, U12, and U14 teams with some players playing their first tournament as Selects had some exciting hockey weekend.

U8 Selects had several first-timers for wearing Selects jersey, learning the Selects habits and competing in the first international tournament was not exciting enough, but our boys made their way to the bronze medal game. A good learning experience for our young team!

U10 Selects team came in the tournament with a good competitive attitude and it showed in every game. Losing the final is always disappointing, but many lessons learned for future competitions!

U12 team had a disappointing tournament losing the important games to proceed to the medal round. This one is already forgotten and one important experience richer moving towards the next competition.

U14 with a very young team including several play-up players came to Bangkok with the mindset of learning and getting better game by game. After a couple of big close game wins, U14 played in the final against Bangkok Warriors A team. Our boys followed the game plan, learned from mistakes and good moments and really put up a good fight against very strong Warriors. We are all proud of the progress and commitment from our U14 team this weekend!
