2021 Summer Classic Tournament
(August 20-22, 2021)
The 2021 Summer Classic Tournament has been a unprecedented success for 1st ever HK Typhoons event. Excitment and laughter are filling up the rink everyday. Players play so hard in each exciting game and parents support us in every way they can.
RECAPS FROM COACHES
No games for a long long time, no feel of exciting and nervous tournament atmosphere, no trophies to win. This was the feel and reason for our first big multidivision tournament hosted here in our home Hong Kong!
Three divisions and 11 teams (U8, U10 & U13) started the exciting three day tournament with great close games on Friday evening. Close games with good goaltending, some great team work executions, and loyal fans cheering made the long days at the rink worth it to all participants and people helping with tournament operations.
Last day of the action; the play off day gave us three finals:
U8 Aberdeen Anglers vs Shek O Villagers
U10 Sham Shui Po Techies vs Central Bankers
U13 Lantau Pilots vs Causeway Bay shoppers
In U8 division Aberdeen Anglers came out with victory, U10 Sham Shui Po Techies won after great battle of two teams in penalty shot competition and in U13 Lantau Pilots showed great resilience coming in top after losing first two games of the tournament!
We congratulate all participants, volunteers and our loyal fans of a very successful and competitive tournament!
