2022 Beach Bash Youth Ice Hockey Tournament

The 2nd tournament in Thailand, this time in the Bangkok Warriors Ice Arena. For the U8 Division, our HK Typhoons Selects U8 Team started this tournament with a great victory against Team Asia (a descent team of Thai and Singaporean players). We continued with a second victory against the local team, Bangkok Warriors.  We repeated these performances on the second day of the tournament against these same teams, and finished with Seed 1.  The last day of the tournament and the final was cruel, we lacked realism and a bit of luck, which unfortunately we lost this tournament with one and only defeat.  In con, the team played well, we came for experience and we got it. The team is very young and for many it was their first oversea tournament.
      
For the U10 Division, our HK Selects U10 Team started this tournament with a landslide victory against local team, Bangkok Warriors White Team.  The next day, we repeated this performance with a narrower score against Bangkok Warriors Blue Team.  On the third day of the tournament, despite a lack of realism, only 7 goals from more than 50 shots, we won our match against Singapore Ice dragons.  We headed into the final with some doubts about our ability to score, the players were tense and nervous for this final, but we overcame that and won this final of this tournament.  We came to this tournament with a very good U10 team, and we played good hockey.  We can only be satisfied but will not stop there.  We will continue to work hard and win more tournament.
