2024 Beijing Dynasty Cup of Hockey, China

Our hockey program achieved remarkable success at 2024 Beijing Dynasty Cup of Hockey, where we competed with three age divisions (U9, U11, and U13). The world-class arena provided shared locker room facilities that created a unique bonding experience across our teams. Some of the most heartwarming moments came as our younger players sought guidance from their senior teammates, cheering each other on during games and capturing memorable photos together in their team jerseys.

On the ice, our teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination. After dropping just two initial games due to travel fatigue upon arrival, we went on an impressive winning streak. The tournament presented a unique challenge with its unusually large ice surface – comparable to an airport runway – which demanded superior stamina as players maintained constant motion throughout the 30-minute games. This test of endurance made every shift and tactical decision crucial to success. We are proud to announce that all three of our divisions – U9, U11, and U13 – emerged as champions in their respective categories.

The tournament showcased significant player development, particularly for our U13 program, where athletes demonstrated marked improvement in understanding both team systems and individual responsibilities. Our off-ice training sessions in the gym complemented this progress with age-appropriate conditioning programs. Beyond hockey, the cultural experience enriched our trip as the entire team visited Beijing’s iconic Temple of Heaven and shared a traditional Peking duck dinner, strengthening team bonds.

This tournament represented more than just athletic achievement – it marked important personal growth for our players, who showed increasing independence throughout the trip. We will continue fostering this maturity alongside hockey skills as we prepare for future competitions.
