 The Hong Kong Typhoons Easter Camp 2017 is for kids looking to improve their individual ice hockey skills and their game sense.

Venue: Mission Hills, Shenzhen China
Dates: April 14-17, 2017

2 groups based on age and ability

Price: $6,800 ($6,350 for early bird before January 30, 2017)

Each group gets:

* 16 hours of ice time
* 4 hours of dryland training
* 3 hours of video and theory training

Expected student to coach ratio of 10:1

Simon Ferguson

Hong Kong Typhoons


Simon leads overall development for all our programmes.  He is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward.  He played pre-season with the Anaheim Ducks in the National Hockey League (NHL) and 6 seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he won a Calder Cup. Prior to joining the Hong Kong Typhoons, he was the head coach of a minor junior team, the Okanagan Rockets in the BCMML.  

Ryan Lannon

Ryan Lannon is a former American professional ice hockey defencemen. He was a member of the U.S. National Development Team and was the Assistant Captain of the Harvard University (NCAA-Diviison 1) ice hockey team. He was drafted in the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 8th round, 239th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2002.  In 2008, he was signed by the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL and the following year, he was signed by the Minnesota Wild of the NHL.  He played 8 seasons of professional ice hockey.  Since his retirement as a player, he has been involved in youth hockey player development coaching in Salzburg, Austria.


Doug Lynch
Former NHL Player

After being drafted by the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 1999, Doug left home to pursue his dream of playing in the National Hockey League (NHL).  After winning a Memorial Cup in 2001, Doug was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2nd round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.  After turning pro, Doug embarked on a 11 year professional playing career, where he played in the NHL, the American Hockey League (AHL), the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), the Swedish Elite League (SEL) and the Australian Elite League (EBEL).  During his career, Doug was fortunate to win another 4 championships including the ECHL Kelly Cup. 

Ben Stadey
Coach to NHL Players

Ben played amateur hockey in Portland, Oregon until age 16, when he was recruited to play for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the US Hockey League (USHL) (91-92 season).  Often referred to as a smooth skating defensive defenceman, he played four seasons with the Black Hawks and had his jersey retired by the organization.  Providence College offered him a hockey scholarship in 1995, and he played on the Hockey East championship team that year.  In his career, Ben is also a skating coach and his clientele includes 15 current NHL players and over 30 NHL prospects.

Accommodations & Transportation

The Hong Kong Typhoons will arrange accommodations at and transportation to and from Mission Hills.  Camp participants should book through the Hong Kong Typhoons to facilitate check-in and check-out and the supervision and care of kids traveling alone.

Camp registration fees of HKD6,800 (HKD6,350 early bird) per child are exclusive of accommodation and meal charges.
