Pattaya Beach Bash 4 on 4 Tournament

Pattaya Beach Bash 4 on 4 tournament is the first tournament of the season for our U6 Select team, even though they started with 2 losses, they were able to continue to work to win their last 2 games and thus finish in 3rd place.

The U8 Select White team had done their best in this tournament.   It was not easy for them because we had a very young team this time, but the goal was development and progression ... Mission accomplished, they won their last game of the tournament and improved a lot.

The U8 Select Blue team knew how to respond present and impose their game. Even if we dominated the group stage, we were put in difficulty on the semi-final and final.   Without panicking, the team did the job and won the tournament for the second consecutive year. Once more, our team shows some good team play hockey for this age.

Like last year, in addition to the good sports results, this tournament is ideal for off-ice team building activities.

For sure, our teams came back stronger from this tournament.

Our Selects sent two U10 teams to the Pattaya Beach Bash 4 on 4 tournament this year and both showed up to play.  Deciding to balance our 2 groups, the priority was not to win, but instead to offer everyone an opportunity for growth and experience.  This is exactly what happened as we came away with both Silver and Bronze medals, playing solid team hockey and even giving the stacked Bangkok Warriors a good run in the finals before ultimately running out of gas.

Special mention to our captain Ajax Chan, who continues to lead this group the right way.  He was asked to play defense, not his usual position.  Not only did he accept without question but he was actually awarded the best defenseman of the tournament.  Well done Ajax!

Coaches are very proud of the way both teams played, the only difference between them was 1 goal against, which determined the final rankings.  Another great experience for all players and families involved.  Kids building friendships off the ice which translate to on-ice teamwork and success, well done everyone and thanks to all who helped to make this trip happen, another great one!
